ABOUT ME, STEFFAN LYNCH

“…this About Me page isn’t really to tell you about me and my life story. It’s actually to introduce you to this blog and give you its purpose and mission.”

An Introduction to Me

Heyy. I’m assuming you already know my name. (for those who don’t, it’s Steffan Lynch). I’m 21yrs old, based in London, and doing an apprenticeship in data analytics. And I love it, considering that I’ve only been doing it for a couple months. (Fun Fact: I was focused on and headed into medicine for most of my life.) But as much I love it, I don’t think it is my passion and the sole purpose of my life.

The truth is, it’s something I’m still figuring out and discovering the details of. I don’t know exactly how yet, but I’m pretty clear on the what. I know that I want to live the rest of my life giving back and serving others. I want to be an inspiration and catalyst for someone feeling, doing and being better in their lives, whatever that is to them. I guess at the core, it is this: I want to be proud of myself, knowing that I’m contributing and actually making a (positive) impact/difference in people’s lives.

My Core Beliefs

I think of life as a journey and me as a pilgrim. We’re trying to navigate life the best way we can while going through all the motions. We’re all just figuring out and exploring life and the world.

I’ve always loved helping others. Any time I’ve known that I’ve helped someone in some way., whether it was to brighten their day, give useful advice or show a new perspective, I’ve felt amazing. I just want to do that for the rest of my life.

Me in three Words

As children, we would always have to ask ‘why?’ and question everything. But I never really lost that as I grew up. I’m always wanting to figure out life and understand and discover more.

Fun Facts about me

I have been playing the drums for as long as I can remember. I used to watch the drummer at church every Sunday as a baby. One day 15ish years I ago, I started playing.

For you guys who don’t know what that is, let me save you the trouble of searching it on Google. Although British birth, my nationality is from Barbados, both parents born there. (and yes, Ive been about 8 times)

I was diagnosed with scoliosis in 2013, meaning my spine was curved. I had to have corrective surgery which essentially involved screwing a titanium rod to my spine. I’m fine now, and i can still do (mostly) everything. It just gives me a cool and funny party trick.

Life is a Journey,

not a Destination.

This blog is just that: me sharing my lessons, experiences and thoughts with you, hoping that it helps you in one way or another. Although I’m still figuring out the details, this would be a good start, right? I’ve always loved the space to openly communicate and express myself. So, that’s what this blog will be: open, raw, honest and real (and at times, unconventional). I promise that it won’t be boring. How can it be? This blog is essentially an extension of me!

Real & Raw

Unfiltered. 100% Honest. If it didn’t happen, you wont hear it. If I didn’t use it, you wont see it. If, you don’t know me personally, this blog will be the closest to me

Insightful

I’ll share my lessons, experiences and thoughts through life. As I grow, learn and discover life, my aim is to document and share it with you.

Provoking

A bit of a heads up: not everything I write about will be common or conventional. In fact, my hope is to inspire alternative perspectives and ideas, at least for you to consider.

My Mission

To create and publish content that inspires and explores, for the sake of making us all better.

My Vision

For us to grow as individuals and live better lives; for our sake and those around us.

So there you go. That is me and my blog. Hopefully, that’s a brief but informed introduction to this blog and what you can expect. If it’s something you’re interested in and can back, then make sure you subscribe and join me on this personal journey called life. See you on the other side!
